The new issue of F2 Freelance Photographer magazine is out today and I’m very excited and proud to announce that I have been featured in the new-look April issue in the form of an in-depth interview with the editor David Kilpatrick. As a theme for the profile David elected to focus primarily on my corporate photography, paying particular attention to a few of my overseas mining commissions for Anglo American, Glencore and Sierra Rutile which show the two sides of those projects, as […]
I have often mentioned on this blog that I do shoot the occasional film premiere for one of my clients, Vue Cinemas. They’re normally very chaotic and noisy events in Leicester Square, but without doubt one of the most thrilling perks of my job.

One of my last assignments before Christmas was a fun shoot at the birthplace of the now world famous game of Ping Pong, or as I’ve always called it, Table Tennis, in London’s Holborn. ‘Bounce’ opened a few years ago, set up by founder Adam Breeden, as a Ping Pong themed bar & restaurant, packed with tables to play the hugely popular game. I was commissioned to create some editorial images of Adam, but also to capture some interesting views […]

Following on from my project for National Geographic Traveller at the Natural History Museum last April, I was back there again in July for another project. I was commissioned to shoot the photography for the Museum’s Annual Review. I’ve had to wait this long to publish the pictures as the document has only just been released into the public domain I spent a few days shooting this project with the guys at NHM and was really pleased with the results. The […]

Photographing for Gaucho is often a struggle for me as I am a big foodie, and trying to keep one’s mind on the job when there are half a dozen Argentinian steaks sizzling away on a grill a few feet away is tricky to say the least.

As a big movie fan I was very excited to be meeting a producer of two of my favourite trilogies (Indiana Jones & Star Wars), Robert Watts. He was George Lucas and Steven Spielberg’s man on both iconic franchises. I had the privilege of shooting his portrait at the Vue cinema in Leicester Square this weekend, where he attended a special gala screening of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The Gala screening helped raise money for MediCinema. The adventure trilogy is […]

Pinewood Studios, September 2013 The National Lottery Live show has had a revamp, with Chris Evans being brought onboard to host the new look Saturday prime-time draw show. I was lucky enough to photograph the on-set promotional stills for the show at Pinewood Studios a few weeks ago. The shoot involved capturing various elements of the programme, including behind the scenes reportage, photography during rehearsals and a portrait session with Chris Evans. Some of the images have now made […]

Elle China: ‘Love’ Shoot London, May 2013 Back in May I was commissioned by Elle magazine, in China, to photograph some nice portraits for a feature entitled ‘Love’. The piece focused on couples who work together in the fashion industry. The guys I was lucky enough to shoot were Tracy Sedino and Simon Jablon, who work together for Linda Farrow, an up-market maker of sunglasses. (Above, how the selected image appeared on the page in Elle China) Some of the […]

After a hectic six week shooting schedule that has seen me travel all over the UK, before trips to New York and Portugal in quick succession, I had a long weekend to let my hair down at Wilderness Festival. Performing at the event were Empire of the Sun, Noah and the Whale, and Rodriguez. The festival is a cultural feast, showing off great British music, cuisine, drink and the arts; basically great for the soul. I didn’t take my camera […]

Last week I travelled to Lyme Regis, known as the Jurassic Coast due to it’s fame as a fossil hot-spot, to shoot a promotional stunt for Blinkbox’s ‘Game of Thrones’ season three release on the pay-per-view streaming service. As part of the promo they commissioned a giant Dragon skull to be constructed (in direct reference to the series’ plot-lines) and placed it on the beach as if it had washed up on the sand. The images received terrific coverage in UK […]
