On a recent city break trip to Barcelona I decided to leave the Nikon behind and take my Olympus OM10 film camera. This was my first ever camera bought for me by my Dad when I was about 14.
I thought shooting some black & white pictures of the Gaudi structures atop La Pedrera would be a great opportunity to get back into the old way of doing things, which is what I caught the photography bug with in the first place, before the digital revolution took over. I’d been promising myself for a while to shoot some film and I had a lot of fun doing so.
Well, I just collected the contact sheets and will report back with some of my favourites when I’ve printed them up. I’m toying with the idea of hiring a darkroom and doing them myself. I’ve not dabbled in manual developing since my college days (ten years ago!!) so we shall see if I still have the knack for it!!
