After graduating with a BA Hons in PhotoMedia from Salisbury College, Wiltshire, Daniel began his professional career in 2004 as a photojournalist at Solent News and Photo Agency, where he covered national news and features for all the major UK newspaper titles; including The Times, Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian and Financial Times as well as tabloids such as The Sun, The Mirror and the Daily Mail, producing multiple front page images along the way.
He moved to London in 2007 to pursue a freelance career, focusing his energy on commercial photography. Since then he has worked on numerous international projects for media and design agencies on behalf of global companies such as HSBC, Barclays, Anglo American, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Glencore. In recent years assignments have taken Daniel to such places as Kazakhstan, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Chile, United Arab Emirates and the United States.
In October 2014 Daniel presented his first solo exhibition entitled ‘Open House’ featuring a series of portraits focused on ten professional artists in south west London, each pictured in their studios. The project will continue into 2015, expanding to other areas of the city.
Daniel continues to work in the editorial field. Recently he was commissioned by National Geographic Traveller to photograph London’s famous Natural History Museum. His work also gains regular recognition in UK national newspapers and magazines.
Daniel is based in London.
